The rate of current alcohol use among youth ages 12 to 17 was almost sixteen percent during 2007, according to research by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).
A study reported that the percentage of batterers who are under the influence of alcohol when they assault their partners ranges from 60 to 70 percent rate.
